The AGX at setting 1 (the softest) is 10% stiffer in compression AND rebound than OEM deCarbon shocks. The AGX knob at 8 (stiffest) is 80% stiffer than deCarbon. If you do not properly match the shock stiffness setting to the stiff spring rate they will wear out prematurely from compensating for excess loads. They are by far the best option out of any aftermarket shocks aside from Konis & Strange. I know plenty of people who have been using them on their lowered cars for a long time, and I haven't heard any complaints aside from them wishing they could afford Konis.

P.S. This is hopefully my last post in this topic.
Just how I understood several posts from Sam Strano.
Granted, he might be wanting to push the more expensive shock.

I do know that I have a friend that swapped from AGX's to Koni's and was VERY surprised how much a difference it made.
Car is lowered on the ProKit I believe.

I had AGX's to put on the rear of my car...but never installed them after reading about them on Tech.

KYB AGX is probably the next best thing to Koni's.

Although they do NOT come close in performance. Koni's blow them away.

The KYB's will be okay on a stock height car.
Not sure I would run them if lowered though. You want to properly dampen with the more aggressive springs...and the KYB's just don't quite do it.
