cam ?s

okay im about to rebuild my lt1 and i want the biggest cam i can possible get not so much for power but for the idel keep in mind that im gonna keep everything pretty much stock as far as rotate and assembly i was looking at the comp cam 292xfi but this guy i buy parts from told me that if i slow down from 60 to 20 the would just shut off becaue the lift is to big on it he told me that a ms3 cam would be better i thught that is an ls1 cam any info would be great really just want a rough idel can any one help?

well the cars been sitting in the back yard for 2-3 yrs so theres all kinds of rat sh**t and bugs all over the motor just plan on taking it all out and seeing if the rats chewed up any wires plus changing out all hose and fluids the reason im doing this because i was at wal mart and there was a tan ta at the cross walk just ideling like no other my wife looks at me and says man i miss our car but any help on cams would be great!!

"BIGGEST CAM POSSIBLE" Does not equil most horsepower. Do your homework. You will need to match your cam, pushrods, lifters and intake manifold to optomize the power you get outta that cam. You can call summit racing and they can help ya figure it out.

Overall....it does. Of course...that is the LSx series motors. The LT1 heads may change that.
Although it doesn't mean the car performs up to those HP numbers.

Getting a cam for the lope at idle.....I'm sorry, but that is not a good way to go about things.

i mean i dont just want a lobe i want a decent cam that can work with my stock heads my friend has his cam at 600 lift but you cant even hear it what i got is beehive spring 3000 stall so i just need advise on a good cam everybody is telling me to go big but i dont know if thats a good idea

i called jegs they told me since its a rollor motor everthing is usable except the springs which i got

ya, i would call somewhere with real knowledge. talk to some of the engine builders on LS1tech and see what they say.

just get hp tuners and lower your idle rpm LOL. When my bird had cut out open and the A/C on it would sound like it had cam because the rpms would drop below normal then come right back up.

im JKing btw, plz DONT go do that haha.
