2002 z28.. Live repair need answers!

I got a code that sais "catalyst is low below thresold" or something like that.. Then it sais "(bank 1)".. Does this mean my catalytic converter is bad or that i need to replace an o2 sensor? Bank 1 is code for a location of (1 out of 4) O2 sensors.. Right?
Right now im removing my slp exhaust plastic swapping to stock plastic intake so i can pass smog and register my vehicle ..first time doing this as well.. Anything i shoukd know plz and thxx!

Doing this right now at 10:43pm pacific time (California).

What's the number of the code?
Bank 1 is the driver side. Is it a p0420 code? If so, this means the before and after cat o2 sensors are reading close to the same. Which means either 1 or both of the o2 could be bad, have a bad connection or wire ..... or, the driver side catalytic converter is bad.
