Speakers from Hatch Panels

**SOLD**
Speakers from Hatch Panels:
These are out of my 2000 Firebird with the Monsoon Package.
The buyer of my hatch panels had no need for the speakers, and to reduce shipping weight I removed them. Nothing wrong with these. I plan on keeping them in case my current speakers ever go out, but figured instead of them sitting in my garage until then, I'll put them up in case someone needs them.
I tested them when I took the panels out, and they still sound great. No static, clear sound.

The speakers are 4" mid, and 1" tweeter. They are 4 ohms.
Price is ~$20 shipped. (Could be a couple dollars more or less depending).

No. You're referring to the Sail Panel speakers (sit in the plastic panels between front seats and back seats right?).

The speakers I have for sale are from the hatch panels (covering spare tire/other side).

I have the monsoon system, but there's only 1 speaker on each side in the hatch(I think just 2 tweeters) as opposed to the tweeter and a mid. I should have no problem with these right?

I honestly don't know. Hopefully someone else that's "sound system" savvy will chime in.

The speakers vary greatly between models. Firebird coupes have ten speaker elements mounted in six locations, Camaro coupes have eight speaker elements mounted in six locations, and convertibles of both lines have eight speaker elements mounted in four locations. The eight channel amp powers all speaker elements in the Camaro coupe and all convertibles. It powers all speakers except the tweeters in Firebird coupes.

Firebird coupes have component 6.5S (6.5" oversize) 2-ohm mids and .75" 4-ohm tweeters mounted separately in the doors, dual voice coil 6.5S (4-ohm + 4-ohm) subs mounted in the sail panels (beside the rear seat), and component 4" 4-ohm mids and .75" 4-ohm tweeters mounted separately in the hatch area. The two door mids and two hatch mids account for four of the eight channels of the amp while the DVC subs account for two channels each to make up the other four channels. This leaves the front and rear tweeters to be powered directly by the head unit.

Camaro coupes have component 6.5S 2-ohm mids and .75" 4-ohm tweeters mounted coaxially in the doors (they look like ordinary coax speakers but are actually wired as separate components), single voice coil 6.5S 2-ohm subs in the sail panels, and 4" 4-ohm full-range speakers in the hatch area. All eight elements are powered by the amp.

Oh hmmmm, thanks for linking that. I was unaware that there were tweeters in my doors, I thought I was just missing them from my hatch.

If you do in fact have the monsoon system then there should be connections on each side for 2 mids and 2 tweeters in the hatch. I guess someone removed your mids for whatever reason. Just look under both of the trim pieces and make sure you have the connections first. According to roberts pic it should be the white connector. (Even if you dont have the connector, just the wires would suffice. You would just have to crimp/solder them.) If you do then these will hook right up.

I did, which is why I'm still a little on the fence about it. I'm not sure how beneficial wiring up the tweeters would be for me.

Shit, I didnt know you had a camaro. Yeah Kris's link is correct. So Awsmgy, these won't work in your car. You could make them work but it wouldn't really be worth it just for some different OEM speakers.

Local sale fell through. Noob didn't want to believe me when I told him they wouldn't work. He said he thought he could make them work. Oh well. C'mon guys, $10+shipping.
