Beautiful ride, BTW. I'll be glad when mine's anywhere near that nice.

Thanks. I'm hoping to do the T/A hood, air extractors, lip spoiler, and rear spolier, but am leaning towards a dark/sapphire blue or black with gray stripes. I have alot of work ahead. I have a 428 HO block that I have considered building, but really like the Bulter packages. Either way, I'd like to do a TB vice carburation but want to stay NA. Considering mini-tubs and 4-link rear. Will probably replace front subframe. Want to be able to drag race or autocross and looking to run about 9" rims (diameter TBD). That's the plan in a nutshell. Funding, well...

It seems like you are going to put a lot of work into Candy. I am sure that she will be gorgeous once the car is done. Hope your restoration goes well.

Well welcome back! I done a lot of work on my car. New oil pump, fuel pump, water pump, power steering pump, hoses, battery cables, rear tranny seal, new axle, new axle bearings, new axle seal, new gas tank, new fuel sending unit and new starter. Just about to put on a new steering gear box. Going to deal withe a few rust spots, put on the ram iar hood T/A spoiler and then fresh paint. Then going to have the headliner and carpet replaced. New center counsel, some new dash components stereo and weather stripping.

    How's your sweet ride doing?

Update. The starter teeth were completely missing and the fly wheel is in good shape.

Also, I met a guy who restores cars for a living. He seems really good and I have the car in his shop now. I'm sort of struggling now, because I was going to do some work on my own to keep costs down and because I was actually looking forward to working on it, but I don't really have the tools and I should have been more realistic on the time I'd have available. This guy does awesome work. I saw his 57 Chevy Belaire. OMG what a sweet car. No doubt this guy knows what he's doing. He's also been good at sort of testing me out to see what I really want to do with the car and has pushed back on some things I've been thinking about. For now I'm focusing on the issues to pass inspections and stop all the leaks. I think anything that can leak is leaking on the car right now - oil, fuel, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, etc.

Well, guess that's what it's like to own a 40 year old car.

Oh btw. bad news! heard some awful noise when I started her up today. Starter wasn't top notch and think at minimum totaled the starter, but fully expect I have some damage to the flywheel. I also had some transmition fluid leaking afterward. I'll keep you posted, but she's off the road for a little while. :-(
