Since the mechanics over here in Korea don't know how to fix a bird, I'm thinking on buying a repair manual.

I would be using the manual to figure out how to do normal maintenance and keep it in stock - no modifications. err... mostly :)

Which would be better, a Chilton or Haynes?

Both have their perks...
I own a hard copy of Haynes and utilize the free access online of the Chilton.
Chilton tends to be very broad and generalized.
Haynes tends to make things seem 100x easier than it really is. lol.

Personally I buy both and do a lot of research on the web. I have yet to find one end all be all resource for everything. Every tool has it's strong points and weak points.

I'm happy with my Haynes, but Superman is right, they make things seem way too easy sometimes.
