I have A 96 camaro and would like to know what years will interchange in parts with it. And work without having to replace a lot of parts. I want to change my console and radio bezel, instrument panel door panels, seats, ect. Any help and advice you guys can give will be greatly appreciated. This is my first 4th gen car and trying to restore it little by little. Also will the exterior parts from newer models work as well. Thanks

95 to 96 interior panels will interchange without issue other than possible color variance.

What do you mean by "change". Do you mean update to the 2001/2002 style?

Any 93-02 seats will bolt in and work. You need to do extra work to make Trans Am seats with adjustable lumbar work due to the wire harness and the bladder system that the top-tier Trans Am seats have. You can also buy aftermarket seats and rails.

The front end from a 98-02 will bolt on. There are guides on how to do the conversion. The tail lights from a 97-02 will bolt on but you will also need the tail light harness from the 97-02 car to match. Spoiler fitment and glass is the same 93-02.

Thanks that helps out a lot. So its the same with console and instrument panel too all interchanges. And radio bezel
Console: the console needs to match the dashboard. A 97-02 console won't fit properly with a 93-96 dash, and vise versa. Colors are also different by year.
Instrument cluster: 93-96 have a mechanical odometer, 98 has an electronic odometer but different pinout than the 99-02 electronic odometer. You can only replace the instrument cluster within the year ranges posted... i.e. 93-96 can only be replaced by 93-96... 98 will not work for a 96 and neither will 99-02. Why would you replace it anyway? Just get a gauge overlay from 6LE Designs or Black Cat Custom Automotive if you want it to look different.
Radio bezel: 93-96 will interchange with 93-96. 97-02 will interchange with 97-02. There were a bunch of different shades of gray though so unless you are sure it is from the same year as the rest of the dashboard, the color will not match. Dashboards are the same as far as interchange goes, and when you change dashboards you will need to change the expensive dashboard upper panel too along with the HVAC switch and possibly the headlight switches.

Are the basic model interior parts different than as z28 or ss
Aside from material options when the car was purchased (leather interior vs. cloth, special edition or normal), and the little plastic emblem insert on the radio bezel, no.

Also, 93-96 base model speedo only goes to 110 (marks go to 115). Z28 and SS goes to 150. 97-02 base speedo goes to 120 (125 marked). SS and Z28 for them are 150 with marks to 155). Temp gauges are different too. Pre 97 have 160 - 260. 97 and up have 100 - 260
