Ok
I have an 86 Trans AM and i just put a 350 from an old Nova in it ... problem being i want to use the stock power steering pump... but im not sure what kind of bracket/spacers i'm going to need to remount this thing... it seems like everytime i bolt it up its off the belt track by just a little bit

Any one ran into this problem before?

After removing the AC brackets on my 86 I temporarily made a spacer using a couple of 1/2 lock washers to remount my PS pump, at the head mounting point. It lined up perfect

It'd be an easier fit to use the brackets and pulleys from an early 80's V8 Chev/GMC van and the long water pump. Swap the p/s pulley to the v-belt one if it has the serp belt type on it. By using this set up you can get belts for the van at any parts store easier. When I did the swap in my 87, that's what I used and it worked excellent with the headers by using a simple spacer on the forward bolt on the header flange.
