So i bought used 79 tail lights fir 10$ because the actual housing was bent, but the lenses were in pretty hood shape. So i unbolted the lensed from the housing, cleaned em up and inspected them. One side has a few tiny tiny scratches and scuffs and a wanted to know if anyone knows a good product to polish plastic tail lenses and make them look like new, cuz I dont feel like spending 100$ a piece on aftermarket lenses.

Tail lights

They might be kind tough to polish up if the are not installed. Too much pressure and you could crack them. I have used very fine grit wet sand paper like 600 and up to 1000 to remove scratches. Then I used clear coat over top. I used to run a small business that went around to used car dealerships and paint bumpers and touch up. I usually either buffed lenses with compound or I would clear them. Clear will last longer. I did the same with headlights too.
