The more and more i was my car, the more i notice little imperfections in the paint. Grand the paint is 18 years old but they still bother me. They all just seem to be surface marks, how should i go about taking care of them?

Claying just removes surface layer dirt. It looks to me like something damaged your clear coat. You're going to want to use a polish to remove light scratches.
It feels lower than the surface of the clear coat. I'm guessing whatever it is ate right through it.
I'm considering plasti doing the hood for now, but i feel like it might look a little ricey
I have a tiny spot on my hatch that looms the same where the clear shipped off. When I wax the car I clean the area up really well and you can barely tell its there. It's a temporary fix until I get the car painted.
